The Hydrophobic PTFE membrane is resistant to nearly all solvents, acids and bases, membrane is mechanically strong and will withstand exposure to high temperature liquids. Low in extractables, PTFE blocks water vapor, and can be used to filter aqueous solutions after pre-wedding with an alcohol. Polytetrafluorethylene membranes are used for the filtration of aggressive organic, highly basic or hot solutions. Since it has a low resistance to gases, the membrane is also used for air and gas filtration (aeration and ventilation tasks).
